Overview

The Centre for Critical Care is equipped with new technology and a qualified team of consultants, resident doctors, nurses and technicians who provide Intensive care facilities and medical treatment to the patients. Senior consultants back the whole system with the support from the blood bank, laboratory and imaging services. The type of treatment offered is based upon the specific medical needs of the patient. 

Our practicing critical care surgeons are highly trained and experienced to handle delicate cases with supreme care.

The team also consists of intensivists, physicians, surgeons, paramedical staff, clinical microbiologists and support staff, that includes specialized nurses, physiotherapists, dieticians, clinical pharmacists that provide a broad spectrum of critical care.

We treat the following conditions under critical care:

  • Lung problems
  • Serious injuries or trauma (car crash, burns)
  • Organ failure
  • Brain trauma
  • Drug-resistant infections
  • Blood infections (sepsis) and others

Surgical Care: Our 10-bedded ICU unit is equipped with the latest technology & infrastructure to provide surgical care to the patients who need special care.

Medical Care: We have a 15-bedded dedicated unit for the patients dealing with a range of acute medical conditions.

Neonatal Care: This 6-bedded unit is dedicated to providing intensive care to newborn babies who require specialized care.

Adult Critical Care: Patients with complex breathing problems, kidney diseases, burns and infectious diseases who require specialist nursing/medical support are treated here.

Ventilator: We have the latest designed ventilators that provide oxygen to the patients when they are unable to breathe normally on their own. Invasive ventilation including Lung Protective Ventilation, Prone Ventilation, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Recruitment Maneuver, Airway Pressure Release Ventilation (APRV).

Negative Pressure Isolation is for infectious patients to prevent spread of infection in immediate environment.

Non Invasive Ventilator: C PAP & Bi PAP

Defibrillator: Our high-end, enhanced Defibrillators are efficient enough to provide electric shocks to the heart when the heartbeat slows down, gets faster, or stops.

Syringe Infusion Pump: We have the best-designed Syringe Infusion Pump that is capable of delivering any amount of fluids into the patient's body as per requirement.

Portable USG: Our portable Ultrasound device defines modern technology by delivering the best and most precise ultrasound reports.

Portable X-Ray with CR system: We define technology at our critical care department with this device that delivers high-end radiographic results.

ECG: To support the heart patients, we have an ECG (Electrocardiogram) system at our critical care department.

DVT Pump: This machine helps by preventing people from getting life-threatening Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT).

Cardiac Output Monitoring System: These minimally invasive monitors are used to calculate cardiac output.

Haemodialysis: Haemodialysis is a procedure where a dialysis machine along with a dialyzer, are used to clean your blood.

SLED: This is one method of dialysis for critically ill patients.

Bronchoalveolar Lavage: It is offered to those patients who needs pulmonary toiletry and for diagnostic purpose.

Upper and GI Endoscopy: To control and treat bleeding from GI tract

HOLTER Monitoring: To detect Dysarrythmia in critically ill patient

Cardiac pacing

6 different Intensive Care Units (ICUs):

  • Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - 10 Beds
  • Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) - 5 Beds
  • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - 6 Beds
  • CTVS Recovery Unit - 4 Beds
  • Paediatric intensive care unit (PICU) – 4 beds

Ambulance Services: To cope with any critical situation or condition, the centre is equipped with ALS & BLS ambulance service

Diagnostic Facilities & Other Facilities: We are a 450 bedded hospital with more than 22 super specialties. Our Critical Care Unit is well synched with the hospital’s laboratory services and imaging units to help us cater to efficient medical services. Our laboratories and imaging department are equipped with high-end technology that supports us to provide the best diagnostic services.
